Eden Prairie Youth Baseball: A Home Run of a Season
Eden Prairie Youth Baseball is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe, fun and educational baseball experience for kids from 4 to 18 years old. The organization has a rich history, with the first team being formed in the late 1950s and the program has grown ever since.
Benefits of Eden Prairie Youth Baseball
Eden Prairie Youth Baseball offers a number of benefits to the kids who participate in the program. Not only do they get to play the great game of baseball, but they also get to develop physical skills and learn the values of teamwork and sportsmanship. The program also encourages leadership and provides opportunities for kids to learn how to take responsibility for themselves and their team.
League Structure
Eden Prairie Youth Baseball is divided into three leagues based on age: T-ball (ages 4-6), Minor (ages 7-9) and Major (ages 10-12). There is also an All-Star team for players ages 13-18 who have been nominated by their coaches based on their outstanding performance both on and off the field.
Registration and Fees
Registration for Eden Prairie Youth Baseball usually takes place in the spring, with teams being formed in the summer. The registration fee for the program is $125 per player, which covers the cost of uniforms, equipment and insurance.
Coaching Staff
Eden Prairie Youth Baseball is proud to have a dedicated and knowledgeable coaching staff. All of the coaches are certified by the Minnesota State High School League, and they are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for the players.
A Winning Season
The 2017 season was a great success for Eden Prairie Youth Baseball, with all three leagues making it to the playoffs. The Minor League team even made it to the championship game, where they came up just short of winning the title.
Regardless of the results, Eden Prairie Youth Baseball had an excellent season and the coaches, players and parents are all looking forward to another great season in 2018.
