In May of 2019 I had a near death experience on my Harley-Davidson Dyna LowRider while riding South Mountain in Phoenix Arizona. This is a popular scenic drive near the city that I've ridden many times, but this particular ride caused some serious PTSD for me. In May of 2021 I headed back up South Mountain to ride this road again, and then grab some tacos at Taqueria El Fundador to see if they lived up to their hype of the best tacos in town.

I'm a motovlogger from Phoenix, Arizona! I've been riding motorcycles since 2015. My first motorcycle I learned how to ride on was a Suzuki GS500F. After taking a motorcycle safety course and finally gaining some confidence on the streets, I decided to purchase my second motorcycle. A Honda CBR600RR. I still own that motorcycle to this day! After some time passed I decided to add another motorcycle to the family. So I purchased a Yamaha FZ-07. That's another bike I still have to this day! Again, more time passed and guess what I did. I purchased my final bike, as of now. A Honda Grom!

A motovlog is a type of video log recorded by a person while riding a motorcycle or any motorized vehicle. The word is a neologism and portmanteau derived from "motorcycle", "video" and "log". ABOUT THE VERMILLION CLIFFS NATIONAL MONUMENT
This remote and unspoiled 280,000-acre monument is a geologic treasure with some of the most spectacular trails and views in the world. The monument contains many diverse landscapes, including the Paria Plateau, Vermilion Cliffs, Coyote Buttes, and Paria Canyon. The monument borders Kaibab National Forest to the west and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area to the east. The monument includes the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. Elevations range from 3,100 to 7,100 feet. The monument is also home to a growing number of endangered California condors.
ABOUT THE NAVAJO BRIDGE
Those traveling across the country on Highway 89A between Bitter Springs and Jacob Lake, AZ arrive at two bridges similar in appearance spanning the Colorado River. These two bridges, one historic and one new, represent one of only seven land crossings of the Colorado River for 750 miles (1207 km).
ABOUT ARIZONA STATE ROUTE 89A
State Route 89A (SR 89A) is an 83.85-mile (134.94 km) state highway that runs from Prescott north to Flagstaff in the U.S. state of Arizona. The highway begins at SR 89 in Yavapai County and heads northward from Prescott, entering Jerome. From Jerome, the route then heads to Cottonwood and Sedona. The highway is notable for its scenic value as it passes through Sedona and the Oak Creek Canyon. The route then enters Coconino County soon after leaving Sedona. The highway proceeds to Flagstaff, where it crosses Interstate 17 (I-17) and I-40. The highway ends at I-40 Business in Flagstaff. What is now SR 89A became a state highway in the late 1920s as SR 79. The highway was extended and improved several times through 1938. SR 79 was renumbered to U.S. Route 89A (US 89A) in 1941 and then to SR 89A in the early 1990s.

This ride is around 1000 miles and can be done in 4-5 days. It took the group from Mesquite, NV, down to Laughlin and later to Oatman, AZ, where there are wild donkeys everywhere. The group camped out at places like Christmas Tree Pass and Alamo Lake before taking a stop in Phoenix for the second round of Monster Energy Supercross. Then the group took a couple days to moto back to Mesquite, passing through Kingman, AZ, Boulder, NV, and Overton along the way.

13. Motorcycle Riding In Arizona
Motorcycle riding in Arizona was far more breautiful than I ever thought it would be. Most of my expereince with Arizona up till this trip was riding throught the desert close to the boarder and it is beautiful in its own special way. What I did not expect was the lush beauty of Theodore Roosevelt Lake, the rugged landscape of the Tonto National Forest, and the vistas in the San Carlos Reservation. Then the landscape changed completely once again as we entered the Coconino National Forest. With its towering evergreens and rugged mountains, I was in awe.
Arizona was far more than I expected and I cannot wait to plan another motorcycle trip to see the sights again of Arizona and to discover what other gems it holds.
