One of the main promises of President Biden's Build Back Better agenda was offering two years of free tuition to community college students. Political wrangling in Washington seems to have killed that proposal for now. But it did raise the issue of just what role community colleges play in the nation's higher education system. Host Sheryl McCarthy sits down with Dr. Daisy Cocco De Filippis who is in her first year as President of Hostos Community College in the Bronx. She's the first Dominican woman to serve as a CUNY college president.
