9. Oticon Podcast - FM technology in the classroom
Hear Dr. Donald Schum, Ph.D., Vice President, Audiology & Professional Relations, Oticon Inc., talks about the important role that Sensei's VoicePriority i™ and FM technology play in the classroom.
The classroom is a key environment for children as they grow and develop. School life can be very noisy for hearing impaired children and the noise level varies frequently throughout the school day. VoicePriority i™ is a feature in the Sensei hearing instrument that monitors the sound level around the child. Whenever the teacher is talking and the sound levels around the child are above a moderate level, VoicePriority i™ will add additional gain to the FM signal to make sure that the teachers voice is coming in at a clear and comfortable level for the child.
