I needed a place to store my shoes and a nice entryway bench. I decided to make one but with Tambour wood doors to give me a challenge, but I made better tambour doors using kerf cuts, because if the recent experience I have with kerf cutting I was very confident on this idea.

I bought a few Cuban Pen Kits from Rockler a couple months ago. I had also just cast a resin blank using Alumilite Clear Slow, Olive Wood, and Walnut. I combined all of those in the Making of this Cuban Pen with Hybrid Blank.
I used my Nova DVR XP lathe and Rikon bandsaw in this project
